Drop the pan, pull all the pistons and use a berry bush type hone to clean the cylinders. Just hone enough to get good cross hatch, and don't worry about the vertical scratches or grooves. If you have a big scuff mark that won't go away, the block is junk. But quite often a used piston will work just fine, put new rings in and rod bearings, and If you want pull the timing cover and reseal it too. Really depends on the condition of the car and how much time and effort you want to spend. What was the cause of the failure? Sludge/lack of lubrication or bad airmass meter/poor fuel piston overheat?
Just make sure and fix that too.
I helped a used car bandit fix one of these and he only honed one cylinder and put in a used piston from my scrap pile - with used rings - and that beater is still running 25k later. Only new parts he used were head gasket, degreaser, oil and filter.
