I did not change the springs in front. Other posts on this board say that the front stock front struts are good for 150k miles and I'm at just over 100k. According to JJJ Eng I'm low by about .7 inches in front. The car looks "slammed" but tire wear appears uniform. Handling is on par with my BMW e46 with Sport suspension.
I don't know how you'd put spacers in front. The spring perches are welded into the struts, unlike the rears where there's only a ring formed to the shock tube and spacers can be easily installed.
