I have the same problem on an 01 Aero Sedan. Looked for the problem a bit, but no go. Oil is getting on the exhaust (can see spots) from time to time. Here are the main culprits I have researched so far
1) Rear Valve Cover Gasket Leak (this is a NO on mine)
2) Rear Head Gasket Oil Leak (have not eliminated this)
3) Oil Sending Unit Switch Leak (this is common and I am going to replace mine anyway, but might not be it)
4) Timing Chain Cover Leak (hope not, hard to fix)
5) PCV hoses, etc. (have not checked mine lately, but probably not it)
There are others, these are the big ones.
