Odd Check Engine Problem Posted by Paul [Email] (#792) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Paul) on Thu, 12 Jan 2012 07:51:58 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
2002 9-5 with manual tranny and 112k miles. About 1.5 months ago my check engine light went on on the highway. Dealer said throttle body was bad and replaced it. Since then I have experienced an occasional "surging" at slow speeds several times. If the car idles for a long time (15 min) or I drive in very heavy traffic I will get a check engine light. The light will go away after the car is off for a few hours - this has happened about 4 times since the new throttle body. I need to go basck for an oil change anyway (he is about 45 min away) can he "see" anything without a check engine light? Could it be the T.B.? I ask, because if not, he may charge me a diagnostic fee, and money is tight right now. Thanks.
