My wagon had been running on stock size 215/55R16 tires for the first decade of its existence. Then a year ago, I was about to switch the car to 205/65R15 wheels, then I realize after mounting the rears first that if I stop at that, the rear droopy look is gone, so stopped short of mounting the front two new wheels. There is only 1/4" difference in tire specs, with the tread depth difference (13/32" vs. 4/32") on top of that, a total difference of about 1/2".
Since I only put about 3-4k miles on the car per year, haven't thought through what to do at tire rotation time. Perhaps feeding new tires in the rear a pair at a time (I have left the remaining two new tire in storage, on wheels), a 1/4" more next time; then after a few times (tires wear faster in the front than the rear), feed new tires in the front, 1/4" less at a time to bring it back to stock height after a couple "raises" in the rear . . . so the rear-advantage is maintained without sending the speedo out of wack in the long run ;-)
