Brake Booster full of oil

'99 9-5 Wagon, 210,000, brake booster (totally gone at the time)RR with salvaged unit at about 190,000, worked good for awhile, then started hissing but still worked, then stopped hissing and brakes seemed to work fine, then recently started dragging pretty hard every time you drive 5+ miles. They release after sitting with engine off for a few minutes, but then start dragging again in a few miles. They drag hard enough to get pretty hot and a little smelly. A wire stuck down into the booster vacuum port comes out covered with engine oil. I've searched lots of different ways on this BB and it seems like this booster is toast because it's full of oil and won't release pressure once it builds up. But where did the oil come from? I would put a $350 plus labor Europarts booster in but don't want to do that if it just gets full of oil again. Could it be a failed brake vacuum pump? check valve? I tried to order a brake vacuum set from Europarts last fall but since it's a SAAB part was back-ordered forever.
Are there any fixes for this? Generic check valves maybe that I could put in the lines to prevent oil from getting to the booster?
Any help would be much appreciated!
