Just push and hold the "Clear" button on the steering wheel for 4 to 5 seconds. This will clear the average MPG and Miles Driven on the SID in the speedometer leaving everything else unchanged. I think there is an audible beep when it clears, or the SID temporarily says CLEARED.
Just don't press "Clear" when you exceed the speed warning set point! The center dash SIDs would return to normal display as soon as you slowed below the set-point. The speedometer SID stays in visual alarm mode regardless of slower speed until you press "Set". Presing "Clear" disables the Speed Warning entirely.
