Throttle Body Cleaning - Foam Posted by Doug W [Email] (#2371) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Doug W) on Tue, 8 May 2012 20:42:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I was thinking of using some AmsOil "Power Foam" to clean the throttle body and intake manifold. The instruction say to spray the material into the air intake at the air filter. In a Saab that means it's got to go through the turbo compressor and intercooler. Not a great idea especially since the foam will go through the MAF sensor. Can I remove a sensor from the intake pipe just before the throttle body and spray it in from there? Does anyone have any experience with this?
I used to take the throttle body off the Volvo we had and clean it with solvent. Sounds like others have done the same thing here.
