Install a momentary push-button switch (Radio Shack) on the wire from pin 86 and pin 30 coming from the "K" Starter Relay under the dash. If you depress this button with the key held in the Start position, the engine WILL crank and start.
The NSS on my 2001 LPT began acting up, I simply installed the momentary on switch mention above and have yet to replace the original NSS. Car has 130000 mi. The "temporary" switch was been in there for about 18 months.
Never fails!
