With the hot weather this could help short term you can move the blend door to the cool/cold setting and in the winter you can move it to the hot side.
A lot of info on BB on how to fix,not that hard.good luck!!
P.S. on my old 1999 I set it up with a wire to move it by hand,under the dash you could not see it and it worked for 3 years until I sold it . the person i sold it to still has it that way today and he told me he did it to his 2002 when it went ,25 min and free + the last time he will have to go under the dash!!!
