Towing with a 9-5 sedan, manual transmission

I was contemplating getting a nice motorcycle trailer for my bike. I, definately will buy the oem hitch which mounts up under the rear bumper.

NE ways, how is towing 1000 lbs (bike and trailer)?

Is it going to be really jerky with the manual?

And do I need to worry about yeilding my rear springs? I currently don't think I have any sag in my rear right now...

Thanks guys! sooner the better on my decision, the trailer is a steal :)
