if you have double nuts on the konis to lock together, use locktite. I didn't the first time! I know, I shouldn't have to, and I've locked pairs of nuts together a million times before, but somehow, they came loose on the road. Amazingly all the parts ended up in the fender, even the nuts!
thanks for the link to platonoff's site. Very good format, very clear to read. I would also echo Johnson's advice of spraying all the bolts ahead of time with liquid wrench or similar. I had no trouble removing the top nuts on the rear shock: a socket (7mm?) in a ratchet fits on the tip of the shock, a vice grip on the nut itself, with the ratchet against the bench push up + down on the vice grips to ratchet it off. I did soak the threads first in liquid wrench and then wipe any crud out of the threads before cranking. I didn't bother wire brushing etc. We live in the salt belt.
Drive over some speed bumps etc before aligning. I was amazed how much the car settled after the first day or 2 + you want that to happen before the alignment.
I really like the konis also. Glad to hear your project was a big success!
