I'm curious about the gear noise as I just bought a 07 wagon w 46k and the one thing that's been bugging me is what sounds like gear noise coming from passenger footwell even with car in neutral.
Car drives fine and no whining when shifting but that noise from the footwell is noticeable. I have a 04 Aero and never had any noise whatsoever. I've been following your thread on getting that nut off the trans- may be visiting dealer/ indy for fluid change on mine.
