If you have your second key, I think that the '04 cars still have a key slot in the driver's door handle, but with a black plug over it. Start there.
Otherwise, it IS possible, with some effort, to coat-hanger your way in. Pull on the top corner of the door (ideally an assistant(s) with strong fingers), and that will give you enough room to slide a hanger in past the door seals. The one time I've hooked my way into a 9-5, I bent the business end into a tight enough hook to get around the door lock button, and used a pair of vise-grips to manipulate/steer the hanger. Some car unlock services also have an inflatable wedge to hold the corner of the door frame away from the body. At this point, who cares if the alarm goes off! Good luck!
