I used to get a little blue smoke on start-up after the car was sitting for a day or two, was really surprised that one day it just gave up without warning. Drove home from work 22 miles with a huge cloud of smoke the whole way, nervously watching for the oil light. I didn't want to risk stopping and adding oil as the car wanted to stall at lights because I assume plugs were fouling with oil. In hindsight, a 200$ towing bill would have been much cheaper than a new engine, but I lucked out and the oil light came on just as I was backing in the driveway engine sounds and runs fine now. Had rebuilt TD04 from XSBoost Turbos installed by my indy. NOTE: after much research here, I ordered the copper washers from that Bay website, but didn't need them because XSBoost includes them with the order along with studs and two new banjo bolts! Anyway, I was also concerned about the oil in the intake system, but after only about 100 miles on the car now I get zero smoke and it's running very well. I notice a small increase in boost, but I have the JZW stage 1 tune, and need to get the stage 2 done to get the proper power. There are absolutely no negative changes in the way the car runs as some have experienced doing this changeover. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CHANGE ANYTHING except add the copper washers to the larger holes for the banjo bolts on the TD04 turbo. I did the PCV6 a year ago, a doable DIY job, not fun but doable. Probably should drop the pan, but my indy says I have good oil pressure. Would love to get the stage 2, and the Aero suspension, and the larger exhaust, and the larger Aero intake pipe,,,,and on and on.
