If your car is under warranty, you'd be well advised to use a SAAB oil filter. They may deny warranty coverage in case a repair happens to be even remotely related to the filter.
If, for some reason, you are out of warranty, use a Mann filter. They are the best.
As far as oil, I recommend you use any brand that meets ACEA A3/B3-98 specs. Unless you live in a very hot climate, use something like 5W-40 or 0W-40. If your live in the desert or something, use 15W-50, 5W-50 or 20W-50, again, with ACEA A3/B3-98 certification. I would also choose the brand that meets Mercedes, BMW, VW and Porsche long-life requirements. Examples of such oils are Mobil 1 0W-40 or 5W-40, Mobil 1 Delvac, Kendall GT-1 Synthetic 5W-40, Valvoline SynPower 5W-40, Shell Rotella-T 5W-40, Liqui Moly 0W-40 or 5W-40, Motul 0W-40 or 5W-40, etc.
