I have my light switch set for 3 positions: off, parking lights, full headlights. Since it's intermittent I don't know if changing the settings with the Tech2 would make a difference. I've been running the headlights this way for at least a few months without any issues.
Just now I went out to test different scenarios and was able to get normal functionality when I turned the headlight switch all the way on, then inserted and turned the key. I am wondering if, by bypassing the middle switch setting before starting the car if the problem will "go away", although I'd still like to find out what is going on.
