Greetings,
Job is complete. Spoke with an Indie friend of mine and he gave me two other directions - corrosion of lines and also the fuel pump hose connection. I started with the latter, as I had changed the pump in May. On top of the cover for the fuel pump a mouse had started a home and gnawed some wires - tadaa I thought. Spliced and reconnected, no that did not do it. Next the hose and pump connection. Pulled up the pump and Bammm! Hose was not connected. Reconnected and yes - the car is back in action. Wanted to pass this on to others who go the cheap route with fuel pumps and use a clamp to connect the pump and the hose. Be careful - this week I will try to find a wider clamp to ensure the hose is fully clamped over a broader width of the hose. Also, question - what is used to lubricate a fuel hose to allow it to go fully over the male connector of the fuel pump.I could only get the hose to go on perhaps a half inch.
Thanks for the help.
Pete
