It is a lot of Saab's from 99-2000 and up with a lot less miles that have mediocre piston rings and lots of blowby and oil consumption so your mileage is no guarantee. It is due to the gasoline saving low friction piston rings.
All depending on where the oil leak is from headgasket it might have been a combination of headgasket and timing cover seal that was leaking from the beginning and they should have pulled the timing cover together with the cylinder headgasket job (at least the second time around).
