No - the turbo has ball bearings rather than plain bushings, and needs no break-in. It is important that the mechanic who installs it squirts some clean motor oil into the oil inlet before hooking up the oil lines to minimize any start-up damage that might occur if the bearings were spun up "dry". The turbo manufacturer has probably put some sort of assembly grease in the bearings, but I would not trust that 100% - not when it takes just 30 seconds to pour a little oil into that fitting.
When I worked on aircraft engines, I would hold a new turbo's impeller with a socket wrench to keep it from turning, and another mechanic would start and run the engine for a minute or so, to ensure that oil was circulating through the bushings. That was a real PITA, and breezy!
