I what meant was that the ignition key combo has been compromised. He bought another key/ignition switch at the junkyard and forget or did not know that the twice unit must be bought together as well. So, when he discovered the mistake, he went back to the yard, the Saab is no longer there because they crushed the car 2 days prior. He wasn't sure if the key/ignition switch came out an SE V6 or just the standard 9-5 2.3T model. I am not sure the ignition switch are interchangeable between 2.3T vs SE 3.0T...
I did offered him $400 and then went up to $450, but he wanted $550 firm. He said, the car ran great until one day the ignition key switch went flaky on him and he tried to clean it and it worked for 1-2 days and went back to same old symptom.
I sort of believe the guy as he got the car from one of his friends that owes him money so he took the car. He does have a clean title in his name as well...
I drive a Saab 9-5 and I like it a lot!! I want the same safety features for my teenage driver, so I am particularly looking for Saab as they're in the down sparrow in pricing market... Besides, I have a nice set of winter's tires for the next Saab 9-5 all ready to go...
Thanks guys!!
