Solid poly around the engine is going to send more vibrations into the cabin than rubber will. I bought 3M Window Weld from Advanced Autoparts for $28 in a caulk tube worth. It dries harder than rubber but not as firm as poly.
My engine torque mount was showing some where and had allot of slack. I filled around the rubber and let it dry. It is nice and firm when I shift and only transmitts a slight noise fom the engine. It transmit more noise from an automatic.
For the lead arms in the rear suspension the did the same. It really firmed up the handling as other also found when doing poly but I did it on the same tube I purchased. Also did front radius rod bushings on my 04 GTO/Monaro instead of paying $140 for new rubber ones. These were hydraulic fluid filled but at 80K miles were dried out for some time as I just recently purchased the car.
When I removed the roof rack from my 04 9-5 SportCombi I plugged the roof holes with the 3M Window Weld stuff. Let it dry then shaped with with a knife.
