The front sub bolts don't need to be loosened but I remove the nut for rear motor mount and also both bolts for steering rack and leave that loose.
You don't want to pry down too much with steering rack bolted down.
This gives me about 1 1/2" of clearance just enough to chisel the center bushings (02 up) up and out and pry the rear bushing sleeve down and pull the remaining rubber up and out.
The rear bushing is kind of recessed into the subframe and with its own little lip. The circled subframe is a perfect counterhold for a prybar with sharp edge so that the edge can grab the bushing sleeve and you slowly work your way around bending more and more of the sleeve lip inwards and after awhile, the sleeve have shrunk and comes loose.
Center bushings on a 01 and older is a whole different animal and I don't know if you can do those DIY easily.
I just did one yesterday but use my air chisel to compress the bushing sleeve and shrink it slightly so I can pull it down and out.
