A lot of time. I have done a few in situ, but usually just drop the entire front subframe and powertrain assembly now to get access. With a lift and a good subframe jig, can save yourself a lot of time. Will have to remove all engine accessories and remove either the cylinder head and/or the oil pan to get access to slide timing cover out and back on.
Usually 12-15hrs in situ with dropping the oil pan (more if cylinder head), start adding on the hours if you have never gone that deep and dont have your tools lined up in order to jump at the right time.
