I agree. Push test is nothing...this is not a 60's Cadillac...mine felt fine on my 2001 Aero, but at 90K miles the shocks were bad. I don't think you need to space or shim the fronts but do replace the struts. Get Yellow sport Konis and the spacers you need from genuinesaab. Measure the ride height first to see how bad the spring need spacing.
The yellows have 2 grooves for spring perch. Put the perch in the upper.....I learned this one the hard way and had to do it 2X. Not sure what the FSD has.
Did you look at the upper out lateral arm bushings when you were on the lift? Did it look a bit off center?
