My indy uses a body guy who will actually cut a good dog leg and lower rear door section out of a donor car and then graft it as a replacement for rusted out areas. My indy swears it is the only real solution. I just spent a few days this fall cleaning up my dog legs and rear quarters, grinding, sanding, por 15, priming, and a cover coat of body matched lacquer. And the rust is already starting to show through.
Going rate for new dog legs is ~$500 per side according to my indy. If my wagon had less than 190k on it I would certainly consider having the fix done correctly!
