Rustbelt 9-5's need an external spray of corrosion inhibitor along the lower horizontal rear fender joint where it mates up with the rear side plastic wrap around bumper. It will creep into the rust prone edge to slow it down. You can also spray the interior side down by inserting the spray tube into one of the wheel wheel voids. Common weak spot. I haven't tried stripping out the trunk liner way. Also spray the interior of the gas cap cover. A good natural sheep's fat inhibitor or oil based grease will also work. But the best way is to remove all wheel well liners and go to town with an inhibitor. Door panel off as well if you have the time and gumption. Annual or bi-annual underspray to boot.
