I sold my '01 9-5 aero wagon about 2 yrs ago because I thought we needed something a little bigger, and I'm still regretting that decision. Around town the aero was fine for my family of 4 (two young kids), but the arguing about who had to sit behind me was getting to be an issue. I tried to move the drivers seat forward for shorter drives, but was tight. We looked and looked and finally settled on a Subaru Tribeca, which has been a nice size increase, and the link to what would have been the unrealized SAAB 9-6x was there. Unfortunately, a Soob is a Soob is a Soob. I'm not dissing the car, or Subarus - I've owned several. It just doesn't have the soul of a SAAB. It's pretty much a flatline driving experience, unless you're pushing the + 6K rpm range, and even then I'm getting -10 mpg, and still unsatisfied. My point here... I've always kind of recoiled in mixed feelings (disgust + confusion + intrigue) at the sight of the 9-7x, but as I realize the options are SO LIMITED, I was wondering if there any 9-5 / 9-7x owners here who would give an objective review. I will try the 9-7x board as well, but my guess is there may be some bias over there. The 5.3i V8 aero would be my only consideration.
