Hello Larry,
I have read this comment from you couple of times.
There is no load of current going on the stalk with the 666 relay modification.
The modification that I and others have suggested is to jump the NC and NO (normally closed and normally open) terminals with the Commun terminal of the relay.
The Commun terminal supplies the current to either :
NC terminal : Shutter of the Xenon (small load of current)
NO terminal : Halogen (55W), when pulling on the stalk
Jumping the relay enables the two loads simultaneously : 55W + Shutter (small load).
The stalk still see the same load : toggling the relay.
This modification has been performed by many people with good results.
Please, refer to the electrical drawing found on the WIS for more information.
