no start after batter disconnect

Hi! I have a 2004 9-5 Arc with 2.3. I had a vacuum leak error on the 'check engine' light (the handy guy at O'Reilly's put their diagnostics on it). Thought I found it, fixed the leak, and decided I wanted immediate results and disconnected the battery for a bit. After 10 or 15 minutes, reconnected the battery. Cranks over-ran for about one revolution of the engine, and nothing. AFter a while, disconnected the battery and it did the same thing with running for one faction of a second and then nothing. I am thoughly confused. I did replace the crank sensor about a month ago-took ohm readings and it is still ok. Any ideas? Thanks.
