Are you getting codes with the DIC? If it's working fine, and the plugs are not old already, then the plugs are probably fine to leave in there. That said, unless you are running the expensive double platinums that last forever (well I think they say 60k), then plugs are practically free and you might as well change them at the same time... copper plugs are less than $2 each at eeuro.
If you are not getting codes and you are on a fairly recent rev DIC, why not just leave the Carquest one on the shelf for that rainy day? The new rev ones seem to fail slowly (based on reports here) with less risk of collateral damage than DICs of old.
