Linear wagon vs. Arc Wagon

Hi all -
I'm looking to buy my first Saab, & am trying to decide between the 2002 linear & arc wagons. Automatic transmissions. All things being equal, is it worth the extra $$ for the v-6 Arc? Mostly I drive around my small town, but occasionally we fill the car with kids (LARGE teenagers), dog & luggage & hit the highway. Is the 4 cylinder enough for this or will it die, say, going up -hill fully loaded, with the AC on ? Also, any hints on the break in would be appreciated. Thanks for any help you can give me!
