A couple of thoughts.
I'm not sure anybody is "good with glue" these days with so many man-made materials used in fabrications like automobile key "handles". Somewhere in the back of our 2001 9.5 Owners Manuals is a table listing the various plastics contained in the car. As I recall it lists almost 30 different plastic materials. It's doubtful that it lists the key plastic, but it might.
We have two 9.5's. I've changed the batteries in each of the 4 keys too many times and thus managed to mangle and break the two studs designed to keep the lid on the battery compartment. I've tired Super-Glue, airplane cement, Gorilla Glue, plastic glue, and Shoe Goo to no avail. What did finally work is Scotch 2228 Moisture Sealing Electrical Tape made by 3M and available at our local Home Depot. It is a self-adhesion, stretchable electrical tape which will fuze to itself, and evidently to the plastic of the key body. I cleaned the key body off with acetone then let it dry prior to using the tape. It has held for about four months now with daily use. It may not be as sleek as the original, but should get the job done. You may have to experiment with cutting, shaping the tape and how much to stretch it when applying it. Good Luck
