Fuel Pump Removal

04 Aero, 106K Mi. I need some help from those who have removed their Fuel Pump. My sensor is not reading above 5/8 full and I would like to pull the pump out of the tank to see if the fault lies with the sensor or the baffles in the tank. After three separate attempts I am still not able to remove the pump from the tank. I follow the WIS guide to lift 2 in. and rotate 80 degrees clockwise but am unable to remove it. It is constricted by the hard black pipe. I have tilted also. Should it be lifted by the cover plate or by the main body? Which direction should it be tilted, forward, backwards or sideways? Should the tube be moved to another position? I would prefer at this time not to have to remove the pump tank or cut the pipe as has been suggested by other past posters.
