I agree, 245 seems awfully wide... also about 3% off on the speedo vs stock due to the larger odometer.
I also agree on spending a bit more on tires. I'm running 225/45R17 Michelin PSS which are way overkill for the 9-5, but have been great so far. I almost couldn't care less how many miles I get out of tires (though I might get something a little more modest next time around - maybe nokian summers or those Bridgestones Noel likes, iirc re970as?)...
One thing I've noticed on the 9-5 vs the c900 (and I'm not sure if this is tire width, or vehicle weight/dynamics) is that the c900 seems to have much better traction in snow/ice and also rain than the 9-5. In winter I'm comparing brand new 205/55R16 Hakka R's vs 7 year old 185/65R15 Hakka 4's (neither are studded) and in summer 225/45R17 Michelin PSS vs 185/65R15 somewhat worn all seasons (and in the past Nokian H, same size)... PSS isn't bad in the rain (much better than the tires they replaced) but it doesn't stick as well through water at speed as the c900... I'm pretty sure it is significantly a tire width thing - the narrower tires cut through stuff better... but it makes me wonder if the benefits are outweighed by the drawbacks for some of the really wide tires... never mind that the smaller sizes are cheaper also!
Jeff, I know you are up on the front to back ride height stuff, but you mentioned the wear on your wife's tires was mostly on the sides... was this inside or outside edge? and were the tires front or back (or similar wear on all 4)?
