Did it last weekend. I used gasket adhesive around half moons and in few other spots. Don't use too much of it as it might end up inside. Highly recommend to use thread sealant on valve cover bolts, especially on the front ones. I'd also replace rubber chain guide that's inside the valve cover.
Also, there are few small pipes inside the cover. I found them partially plugged/sludged. Used wire and brake cleaner to clean them up.
Also recommend at least check white pcv check valve. Mine became bad (allows air both ways) and caused fresh valve cover gasket to leak.
