If you know the workings of the regulator and you manage to get the arms under the window frame and carefully jam the arms and window in the up position, it should stay closed.
So far using the blue genuine Volvo ones have worked for me but it is important that they are genuine. It is a lot of crap out there nowadays and that's why I stopped using the green rollers because they broke prematurely.
I ordered some after market blue ones for Volvo and they also were pure crap so I had to return them.
Just like the green roller it is important that you hear two clicks (or snaps) when you press the ball socket into them. If you stop after the first click they will come apart again.
And also you always spray some spray lube into the tracks to help everything work smoothly.
And don't forget to set the end position stop on the regulator to save from early break of the new ones.
