I added a half gallon of washer solution to my car last Saturday. New bottle of a brand I have used before, labeled as good to -20 degrees F, foil seal under cap was intact.
Yesterday morning was -10 degrees and my washers failed to work! The afternoon was a balmy 18 degrees and no problem with the washers.
Today I suctioned out maybe a pint of the washer solution fluid from the car and added 8 ounces of Isopropyl, then I added 8 ounces of Isopropyl to the remaining solution in the bottle stored in the garage.
Anything better to use than Isopropyl? Cost and car finish safety both being considerations. Stores today did not have any solutions labeled lower than -25 degrees.
