I know that it is possible to disable the ambient air temp sensor input as part of an A/C operational dependent.
Meaning that you can still operate the A/C compressor regardless or out side air temperature (the factory default setting is to turn of A/C clutch in lower/freezing temperatures)
Check in ACC "adjustments"
I live in the milder climate region of the NW USA, so I keep my ACC in ECON mode most of the year anyway. But I do this by-pass adjustment setting for a lot of my 9-3ss customers who have issues with bashing-in their front spoilers and loosing the outside air temp sensors and wiring.
