so I replaced my DI cassette with the new one I got from advanced auto last night, and my spark plugs. Drove to work, no issues, but average speed under 45, with little to no chance for swift acceleration. on the way home, different story. lots of hard stop and go with a lot of fast acceleration, about half way home I noticed a bit of a tick, then I really was feeling it about 3 miles from home, and obvious misfire. pretty bad too. Stopped by an auto zone to pull the code from the CEL that had come on, P1301. Which is a misfire in cylinder 1.
Drove it the other mile and a half home, swapped back to my old DIC which is throwing a p1334 when I start the engine hot, sometimes... but is NOT throwing the p1301 anymore.
I assume its not the plugs I installed otherwise it would have continued with my old DIC.
Do I have a bad brand new DIC? or could it be I just didn't seat it correctly?
Thoughts on my next steps would be appreciated.
