crank pulley bolt removal air impact Posted by saabjon [Email] (#1450) [Profile/Gallery] (more from saabjon) on Wed, 30 Apr 2014 08:14:59 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a 2002 saab 9-5 I am trying to replace the crank seal and oil pump seal. I have a husky 260lb torque impact wrench with a 200 PSI electrical air compressor. I have attempted to remove the bolt but it will not bulge. I am wondering if my impact gun is powerful enough or even working properly and should I go out a rent a stronger impact gun. I replaced the starter two months ago and I really don't want to ever take the starter off in my life time. I know some suggest holding the crank after removing the starter. Also I have seen on you tube people spinning the motor over to pop the bolt is this a bad idea? I can rent an impact gun from sunbelt rentals just wondering if I am going in circles on this thanks again.
