I spoke to a local Autozone as well as Wells tech support this morning. I was told by Wells that all the C1705 units they sell are SEM/OEM ONLY. Autozone is ordering a unit in and I will exchange after looking at the unit when they receive it. After all their website indicates it is a Wells unit. I'm thinking the unit I sourced in Montana is OLD inventory that they had in the Missoula Montana for a few years. It does have the C1705 part number on the box and BOTH "made in Mexico" and "made in china". Best case scenario the unit they bring in is a fresh Wells/SEM unit that I will exchange . Worst case scenario I use the Chinese/Mexican unit until it dies and get another with their "lifetime" warranty. My old unit still runs fine, again it ONLY codes P1312 at a warm start. I t went 5 days of short burst driving without any codes but as soon as I drove 300 miles and a fill up it coded at the first start.
