are bilsteins really available that cheap now? For some reason I thought they were maybe $50-100 cheaper than Konis for a set of 4, but that was a couple of years ago that I looked. Konis go on sale in the spring. I would definitely go with Konis unless you really think you won't keep the car. I'm really enjoying ours. Just remember to loctite the top nuts.
Bilstein makes a "Touring" series for many cars including the c900, but I'm pretty sure they weren't an option for the 9-5 as of 2 years ago. They are very cost effective (and quite good!) shocks. I bought a pair for the rear of one of our c900s. That said, I wish I had bought koni Reds for that car, and I probably still will when I do the fronts. c900 shocks are way cheaper. $300 for a set of 4 konis vs $750 for the 9-5!
Anyway, for the OP, if you can find Bilstein tourings for the 9-5, they will save mucho $$ and they are still very good shocks. Not as harsh as HD's - more like OEM (and maybe a few $$ less than oem).
