I'm running koni sports (yellows) on a 2004 arc. Stiffness set to about 50-60% on all 4 corners iirc. They are fantastic (even after 2 years, I have not noticed any degradation in performance). I have not tried FSD's. Make sure you loctite the pair of nuts at the top during the installation. Before doing this, the car was really starting to wallow over bumps and around corners. I think it was due to hauling rocks in the car and really loading it for some road trips, because another one of similar age in the extended family was much better and has not sagged appreciably (but was never really ever loaded like ours). Ours had sagged front and back. I put new oem wagon springs in the back, but they have since sagged a little. I would not recommend buying new springs - I wanted wagon springs and it was just convenient to buy new but I probably should have found some used ones. Anyway, I have tweaked the ride height with 10mm spacers in the back so the back and front are similar heights (slightly low, maybe like an Aero or not quite). My SAAB indy aligns for less camber (approx zero). He claims that is all he does on most of these cars that are eating tires and it solves the problem even if they ride low. He claims that the factory spec is too much negative camber. The day I was getting my alignment done, a guy came in with a Mazda3 that was eating tires. Same problem. It is common these days and not limited to SAAB!
