Notes on Moog swaybar end link install

2004 Aero. Banging sound over uneven pavement was suspected of being broken sway bar link. Not to bad of an install, Floor jack at center of front crossmember at jackpoint, 2 jack stands at lift points on rocker panel. Remove front wheels. OEM removal required my 17mm Park bicycle wrench. Moog uses an 18mm and a regular wrench works best with them for install. 18MM deep well socket for other side. 1/2 drive long swivel head ratchet is nice too. I did put a bit of grease in the fittings.
After driving today, it tightened up the front end a bit, no more wandering and banging went away. Since the Moog has 2x the cross section in rod it felt like I had installed a performance swaybar in the front. Corners flatter. Even the subframe bushings seem to creak less, but maybe because of warmer weather? But the ride is a bit more harsh than it was. We will see how this goes over time. The reason the OEM ones were so skinny probably was to preserve ride quality at the expense of a bit of performance. Or GM cost accountants dictated so.
