I did the slice method on one side two years ago, much easier and will keep your vocabulary pure. You cant see the cutline, and still holding up well, the first time I replaced it I removed the shift lever and the screw fell into never never land. I wont be doing this by that method again. My 2004 Aero had a blade connector to the S button and not soldered.
