Metallic clanking sound in door after green roller job Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 1 Mar 2015 05:32:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The location is hard to pinpoint but it sounds as if it is near or at the vertical door lock button. I only hear it when striking bumps, and not all bumps either which makes it harder to identify. I am confident I didn't leave any tools inside the door so that isn't the cause.
I heard two pops when compressing each pin into the roller with Channel-Lock pliers.
Is the water barrier to pass behind the vertical lock actuator rod so it won't strike the metal door frame? Is there a guide for the rod that I missed seeing during disassembly and reassembly?
I know that I will be going in there again but hope to have an idea of what to look for in advance. Thanks,
And by the way. Where is the adjustment for the window sealing travel limit? I may as well take care of that at the same time too.
