As a discussion point, Canadian retail fuel, even premium, just doesn't have the umph to maximize the potential of the engine. As an example, I am VERY impressed by engine performance when I add one bottle of STP Octane enhancer to my fuel tank (I can imagine what 2 would do!). There may be other products out there that I am not familiar with but from a strictly performance perspective, the 2.3 is being short-changed more so by the diet it drinks rather than the engineers that designed the ECU program and metal bits.
