If you check my previous posts, you'll read my whole saga. In short, i've taken my car to two Saab specialists - one with an extremely good reputation nationwide, and it's left them flumoxxed. Everything checks out, and since I started having the problem, i've replaced:
- DIC
- Plugs
- Throttle Body
- MAF
- Intake Pressure Sensor
- Intake Temp Sensor
- CPS
- Vacuum Lines checked
- Checked electrical grounding on thermostat housing
- Pulled valve cover and confirmed correct engine timing
- PCV Valve on the bulkhead side of valve cover
- Replaced factory cat with new GenuineSaab 3" Downpipe
- Custom Tune by Taliaferro to see if we could remedy it that way
All in all - the tune and downpipe does help, but still have the massive degradation in the heat.
Question - have you noticed this start after someone performed work on your car? Perhaps internal engine work (head gasket, timing cover seal, etc?) That's when I first noticed this with mine.
Car is an '07 9-5 Aero. Started noticing the issue at ~70k.
