This sounds a lot like a loose intercooler hose. They can come all the way off or partially off and cause exactly these symptoms. Especially if the turbo was replaced, that's the first place I'd look - intercooler hoses, looks like it has 4 places where it could come loose. Or the throttle body intake clamp/hose could be loose. I've had this happen to me.
